We are not able to pick up discarded needles on private property. To safely dispose of needles, please use either a designated sharps container or, if you don't have a sharps container, you can use a soda bottle with a screw cap. Place the container on the ground and use tongs or a trash picker to pick up the needle and place it in the container. If using a soda bottle, screw on the cap and dispose of the entire bottle in the trash. Please do not put needles directly into the trash as it can cause needle sticks to you and our solid waste employees!
